For the month of August, we will be learning all about ourselves and how each one of us are different. We will involve the families in an activity so each child can share their families with their peers.
We will also be discussing the five senses, and how each one of us perceive tasting, smelling, and hearing differently. Some of the children may taste something that will seem sweet to them but sour to another child. I cannot wait to share their sour faces with you all, so be looking for your child’s picture. We are ready to have a month full of different textures, smells, and sounds.
Thank you always for all that you do and for letting us be a part of your child’s life. You can find references to our activities in the ELG book Science Standard 2: A. Develops an awareness of the sensory attributes of objects according to taste, smell, hearing, touch, and sight.
